This was a deliciously rich word for me as it speaks to this project in a way that is exactly why I am so excited about this project. Dayvid’s word is “Context” and it really connected me deeper to words and their meaning. I feel so honored to spend time with Dayvid, he is one of those people that live in my head. Let me explain, we had a conversation a while ago about something that was controversial and his big picture expansive way of looking at this situation helped me see how I was looking at a pinhole in regards to this. I have often asked myself if am i looking at this through this in an expansive enough way. Therefore it is hard not to think I wonder what Dayvid would think?
Context, which is at the core of this project, we need to understand what the person who used the word means by the word, what is their life experiences that caused them to use that word and what is the context in which they use it. As Dayvid said the word does not stand alone…this is why understanding is so important.
